BELOVED GRAVEL!

As pétanque geeks, we love our gravel. And we choose it with the utmost care. Every grain of gravel is unique and has its own personality and character.

Rians, Grenoble or Parc Borély?

The gravel courts at Boulebar are inspired by our favorite French courts. They say a parent doesn’t have a favorite child - and it’s just as true that a pétanque player doesn’t have a favorite playing surface. Every court, every top layer, and every gravel has its own charm, its own mood, and is loved by one particular boules player out there.

RIANS

HARD AND VARIED

It doesn’t get more French than this. Courts in classic boule-dream style. Hard and challenging, yet ideal for varied and tight gameplay. Easy to shoot and place, at least when you remember to even out the gravel every now and then.

PARC BORELY

ROCK HARD BUT REFINED

The Parc Borély courts are inspired by the courts in Marseille, where the world’s largest pétanque tournament, La Mondial La Marseillaise, is held every year. Extremely hard courts that make it challenging, but also very refined. The trick is to roll the ball far on both shots and placements.

GRENOBLE

LARGER STONES

A replica of the World Championship courts in Grenoble 2004. Beginners might think it’s luck that decides where the ball ends up when the stones are big, but here it takes courage and navigation to find the right path to the jack. The key is to throw high with plenty of backspin on the ball. Never doubt your own skills, even if the ball bounces in all directions. Daring to play high with lots of backspin is the key. And you - never hesitate to take another shot.
